The new 2010 Mustang is a visual representation of raw power - from its
chiseled good looks, through its sweeping beltline and pronounced
curves, to its kicked-up haunches. Now set atop striking new rims,
Mustang sports a power dome hood, a distinctive grille and an
aggressive front fascia, for a sleek, strong look that's all its own.
V6 Mustang - The standard 4.0-liter SOHC V6 powerplant for New 2010 Mustang pumps
210 horsepower and 240 pounds-feet of torque; gusto that gets you going
where you need to go-fast. The engine is mated to a smooth-moving
standard five-speed manual transmission. A responsive, tight,
five-speed automatic transmission is also available.
V8 Mustang - The 4.6-liter three-valve V8 engine for New 2010 Mustang benefits from
horsepower gains (up to the present 315hp with 325 lb.-ft. of torque)
achieved by the addition of a cold-air induction system pioneered
through Ford Racing Technology. The intake is tucked behind the
driver-side headlamp, mounted in an air box that's specific to the
Mustang. Extensive sealing modifications ensure cold air from the front
of the Mustang feed the engine. The redline for the V8 engine is
increased 250 rpm to 6,500 for 2010, and revised calibration ensures
the customer fully feels these changes. What's more, the 4.6-liter,
three-valve SOHC V-8 engine is the most-accessorized engine in the
marketplace. The engine is mated to a smooth-moving standard five-speed
manual transmission. A responsive, tight, five-speed automatic
transmission is also available.
