The 2016 Ford Edge is set to land at Town East Ford by the end of this year, and when it does, it will offer an all-new tech feature geared toward improving driver steering. The state-of-the-art system known as adaptive steering will come standard on the Edge Sport and available on the Edge Titanium in an effort to enhance the driving experience and accommodate drivers.

Adaptive steering is a unique system with the ability to adjust steering ratio in order to make driving easier and more fun at lower and higher speeds. For example, the system is able to reduce the number of turns a driver has to make when pulling into a parking spot at low speeds, simplifying the process. When driving on the highway, the system adds to the driver's steering input, allowing them to effortlessly cruise along the road and make smooth lane changes with ease.

Developed through a partnership with a German-based company by the name of TKAG, adaptive steering uses a simple precision-controlled actuator fitted within the steering wheel to alter the steering ratio. To see just how well the system works, take a look at the video below and then stop by Town East Ford once the brand-new 2016 Ford Edge arrives.
