Fully redesigned for 2015, the new Ford Edge showcases a sportier look, enhanced performance, added driver-assist features and a new premium trim level called Titanium. A proven leader among crossover utility vehicles, Edge shows what's possible when the best get even better.
The 2015 installment of the SUV will offer a more rewarding driving experience all around. Suspension improvements and an all-new body structure have resulted in a smoother and quieter ride, while the Edge Sport and all-new Titanium come with a new adaptive steering system that enhances maneuverability.
Two new engines are featured this year, which means the 2015 Ford Edge in Mesquite will come with three powertrain options: The standard engine is a new twin-scroll 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and the Edge Sport comes with a new 2.6-liter EcoBoost; a more powerful 3.5-liter V-6 is offered as well and a six-speed automatic transmission is paired with all engines. If you choose the twin-scroll, you can also select a newly available all-wheel-drive system, along with an optional Auto Stop-Start feature that seamlessly shuts down the engine when the SUV comes to a halt in heavy traffic, reducing emissions and fuel consumption.
Since its start, Edge has been a technology leader and this is even further emphasized with the 2015 model, which now comes standard with a rearview camera and the latest version of SYNC with MyFord Touch (Sport, Titanium). In addition, the 2015 Ford Edge in Mesquite will offer a long list of other safety and convenience technologies, including: side parking sensors, a front camera with washer, active park assist, heated and cooled seats, a hands-free liftgate, lane-keeping alert, blind-spot monitoring and much more.
Finally, all of these incredible features are wrapped up in a new, more athletic body that's longer and taller than the previous Edge, so passengers will enjoy greater legroom and even more cargo space than before.
The 2015 Ford Edge is scheduled to arrive at Town East Ford early next year.
