We're always happy when we find out that a shopper has selected Ford over another manufacturer, so we were very excited to hear that the hosts of History Channel's "American Pickers" recently traded in their Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for a brand-new 2015 Transit!

Mike Wolfe and Frank Fitz own an antique shop in Iowa called Antique Archaeology, and on their popular show, "American Pickers," they travel the country in search of collectables that they can bring back to their home base. Before the current season of the program, they traveled in a Sprinter, but this season they've upgraded to a new 2015 Ford Transit.

Why did they make the switch, you ask? According to Wolfe and Fitz, it's because they wanted optimal cargo volume and fuel efficiency - just a couple defining characteristics of the Transit. The van's impressive fuel economy will come in handy when the pair journey across the country on their antiquing adventurers and, of course, the van will also offer exceptional cargo room to hold just about anything they pick up along the way.

The TV hosts opted for the largest version of the 2015 Ford Transit, which features a high roof and extended wheelbase. It provides up to 487 cubic feet of storage space and comes with an advanced diesel engine, as well as an Antique Archaeology logo for a personal touch!

The all-new, first-generation 2015 Ford Transit in Mesquite will be available to business owners in the Dallas-Fort Worth area soon. Contact Town East Ford for details about its upcoming arrival.
