With an overall brand score of 798, Ford also improved their score by 9 points compared to last year and is now in sync with the industry average, which is a great achievement for the American brand.
For over 20 years, J.D. Power's annual APEAL Study has been measuring new-vehicle appeal across the automotive industry. Those who participate in the study use 77 different attributes to evaluate their car and obtain an overall APEAL Index score, which is based on a 1,000-point scale. For the second year in a row, the 2015 Ford F-150 received the highest score in the Light-Duty Pickup category, while the C-MAX dominated the Compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle category and the Expedition rose to the top of the Large SUV category. Ford was one out of three brands to have three 2015 models scoop up awards in this year's study.
