Ford is making great strides to help reduce their carbon footprint by utilizing plastics found in landfills in the all-new 2015 Ford F-150. For over three years, the automaker has been working with Unifi to incorporate the recycled plastics, known as REPREVE fiber, into their models, contributing to the preservation of our lands and promoting "green" living.

As of today, Ford is the only automotive brand that uses REPREVE fiber in their models. Made completely out of recycled materials, the strong fiber can be found on five different cars in Ford's lineup across the globe, including the 2015 Ford F-150. Through the use of this special fiber in the cars interiors, Ford will help remove over five million plastic bottles from landfills this year, improving the environment.
"By using REPREVE in the all-new Ford F-150, we are reconfirming our commitment to using renewable and recyclable materials in our vehicles," said Carol Kordich, lead designer, global sustainability materials strategy development. "We are always looking for ways to incorporate more innovative and sustainable materials into our vehicles."
Ford continues to abide by their sustainability strategy and will keep finding new ways to become eco-friendly. To check out the new REPREVE-equipped 2015 Ford-F-150, stop by Town East Ford today.
