Sick and tired of the limited number of highly capable hybrid cars on the market? Don't worry; Ford has you covered. The popular American car manufacturer will be officially launching an all-new hybrid lineup that is set to begin rolling out in 2018. The collection is expected to go head to head against Toyota's successful Prius roster, expanding the hybrid segment and giving buyers new models to choose from.
As a brand the believes in the ongoing success of hybrid cars, trucks and SUVs, Ford has decided to focus on building up its hybrid inventory and stray away from the industry's latest trend: fuel cell cars, which are slowly being developed by other automakers. Ford feels that hybrids will still have a stronghold on the market in four years and a strictly hybrid lineup could be extremely beneficial for the company. The first model, currently titled "C240," is already scheduled to be built at the brand's Wayne plant in Michigan, which will produce 120,000 units yearly. As of now, very little information has been revealed about the model, but we do know it will be created for the 2019 model year and arrive in late 2018, taking the U.S. market by storm.
