Mustangs and pinball machines are both American pop-culture icons, and now they've converged in a new series of games created by a Chicago-based company called Stern Pinball. The machines, which were recently revealed at the Chicago Auto Show, pay tribute to "50 years of Mustang," as well as the debut of the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang.
Stern's new pinball machines showcase images of Mustangs from the past five decades, including a more action-packed, premium-edition version that focuses on the Mustang Boss 302 and Boss 429. The new games blend classic pinball features with new technologies to give the experience of "racing" some of the most legendary Mustangs of all time. Plus, players can even build up a dream collection as they progress.
In addition to the pinball machines, Mustang lovers can also celebrate the iconic sports car's 50-year anniversary with new "Mustang Fifty Years" merchandise, which is available here.
FUN FACT:
If you think it's the first time the Mustang has been featured in such a game, you'll be surprised to learn that the very first Mustang-themed pinball machine was actually introduced in 1964, the year of the car's debut, by the now-defunct Chicago Coin Company.
