Thus far in 2014, a staggering 25.3 million vehicles have been recalled for a wide range of mechanical issues, many of them from automakers like GM and Toyota. According to the Associated Press, if we continue at this pace the U.S. will have a record-setting year of recalls.

While Ford has a strong track record of developing reliable cars, unexpected mechanical problems are unavoidable for any manufacturer, and when they occur it's best to bring your car into a factory-approved dealership that can handle the repairs correctly. At Town East Ford, in the rare case that a recall arises for a Ford model, we're here to provide our customers with quick turnarounds, dependable workmanship, OEM parts and factory-trained service technicians.

Back in 2004, there were 30.8 million recalled vehicles in the U.S., which is the record for annual recall occurrences; however, AP states that if this year's recalls continue at their current speed, we might just break that record in 2014.

Although Ford owners have been largely unaffected, we would like to remind all of our customers that Town East Ford offers a faster and more efficient response in these situations than non-dealership franchises and recall repairs are performed at no cost to our customers. Also, if you've been affected by the GM or Toyota recalls, or if you're in the market for a new vehicle, we invite you to come browse our current selection of new and Certified Pre-Owned Ford cars, trucks and SUVs.
