Available Models

Buyers can get the new Expedition in one of four trims: XLT, Limited, King Ranch and Platinum. All models are offered in standard and extended-length body styles and two- or all-wheel drive.

To start with, the 2017 Ford Expedition in Mesquite comes standard with automatic headlights, LED foglights, 18-inch alloy wheels, a roof rack, heated mirrors, a six-way power driver seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Ford SYNC, Bluetooth and satellite. Move up to Limited and you also gain heated second-row seats, a 12-speaker Sony audio system, power-folding mirrors and automatic wipers.

The King Ranch model features Western styling that includes a two-tone paint job and wood grain interior trim. The range-topping Platinum trim ditches the Western theme and adds 22-inch wheels and a sunroof.

Turbo V6 Engine

A 365-horsepower turbo 3.5L V6, delivering 420 lb.-ft. of torque, is fitted on the Expedition. It comes standard with a six-speed automatic and helps offer a 9,200-pound tow rating.

With 4WD, the standard body style version of the SUV offers an EPA-estimated 17 mpg combined, 15 city and 20 highway, while RWD variants deliver 18 mpg combined, 15 city and 22 highway.

Safety Tech

Antilock brakes, traction control, stability control, airbags, rear parking sensors and a rearview camera are standard on the Expedition. Limited and King Ranch models add front parking sensors. Blind-spot monitoring is also equipped on King Ranch and Platinum. Designed to improve safety across the lineup, these technologies have been highlighted in several 2017 Ford Expedition reviews.
