What's New for the 2018 Ford Transit Connect?

Premium packages for the 2018 Ford Transit Connect are now an option for the XLT and Titanium Passenger Wagon models. Other changes for this model include upgraded 6.5 inch LCD touchscreen monitor, rear view camera, automatic headlamps with daytime running lights, second row fixed glass and steel mesh window guard on some trims.

Trims & Features

The cargo van model comes with two available trims, the XL and XLT. The standard features for this model include air conditioning, high current alternator, adjustable steering column, AM/FM radio, dual sliding doors, electric power steering, independent front suspension, rear twist beam, front wheel drive, power windows and locks, four way manual adjustable front driver and passenger seats, short or long wheelbase and a six speed automatic transmission.

This vehicle also has an abundance of available options to include like All weather floor mats, automatic headlamps, cruise control, cornering fog lamps, daytime running lights, dual zone automatic climate control, engine block heater, forward sensing system, trademark MyKey, perimeter alarm, trademark Quickclear window defroster, rear and side door glass, rear cargo LED light, backup camera, rear lift gate with glass window, remote start, roof rack, trailer tow package with sway control and 16 inch wheels. This model also has two available special packages, the Smokers and CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep packages. The passenger wagon version has all of the standard and available options as the cargo van. The only difference is the wagon has the option of Titanium trim.

All models of the Ford Transit Connect are powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder inline engine capable of producing 169 horsepower and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2018 Ford Transit Connect has enough power to accelerate in traffic and tow a trailer. It has a payload of 1,270 pounds and can tow up to 2000 pounds. The van model of this vehicle is rated at 20 mpg* city and 27 highway, while the passenger model is rated at 19 mpg* city and 27 highway.
