What's New For the 2020 Ford Escape?

The 2020 Ford Escape has been completely redesigned and is the most thoughtfully designed model yet. The 2020 Escape is now wider and longer to create a more spacious interior while also being lighter than previous year models. This comfortable interior has more legroom as well as 34 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. In addition to these interior upgrades, you'll find updates in technology features and a new hybrid trim model.

2020 Ford Escape has Varied Trim Levels & Countless Features

The 2020 Escape is available in 5 unique trim models: S, SE, SEL, SE Sport Hybrid, and Titanium. The three base models include the same engine options with upgraded technology and body style features in the SE and SEL. The SE Sport Hybrid is the first hybrid for a Ford Escape. Each model comes standard with two-wheel drive, but all-wheel-drive (AWD) is available for all models.

The Titanium model is the most advanced and is equipped to take you on your biggest adventure. The standard models can tow up to 2,000 lbs while the EcoBoost engine in the Titanium can tow up to 3,500 lbs with a Class II tow package. The Titanium model also includes a quality 10-speaker sound system.

Each trim model includes a digital instrument cluster to make staying focused on the drive a breeze. Optional features to create an even smoother ride include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a panoramic moon roof.

What's Under the Hood of the 2020 Escape?

2020 Ford EscapeThe basic S model has a 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower. This is an option for the S, SE, and SEL trim models. Upgrade to the 2-liter engine in the SEL or Titanium for 250 horsepower. In addition to these two gas power trains, a hybrid power train is also available for the SE Sport Hybrid and the Titanium models. Early in 2020, a plug-in hybrid power train will also come available.

2020 Ford EscapeEach model comes standard with the highly advanced Ford Co-Pilot360 driver-assist technologies. Standard features available for all models include cross-traffic alert, pre-collision assist, a rearview camera, auto high beam headlights, and more. These features work together to keep you focused on the road and prevent collisions from all angles. New drive modes also keep your drive safe and smooth in all kinds of terrain. These include normal, slippery, and deep snow/sand modes. Add additional safety features such as rain-sensing wipers for your safest drive yet with the ideal balance of comfort and convenience.
