Ford Vehicle Service Warning Indicators
Do you understand all your Ford dashboard warning lights? Various indicator lights illuminate in your dashboard to get your attention on your vehicle's status or performance. The following are ten indicator lights that you might see in your Ford vehicle at some point.

Airbag Fault
The airbag fault light may come on and stay on when you have a problem in your airbag system. Normally, this light only flashes on when you start your vehicle.

Low Fuel Level Warning Light
Once your fuel gauge needle reaches empty, the low fuel warning light comes on to remind you to get more gas soon. The light should go off on its own after fueling.

Oil Pressure Warning Light
This is a serious indicator light that should be investigated right away. It means that your oil pressure is too low, which could mean a lack of oil in the engine or part failure. See our Ford service department right away.

Service Vehicle Soon
This light is connected to your Ford vehicle's maintenance schedule and may illuminate accordingly. It may come on at recommended intervals for oil changes and tire rotation services. The light can be reset after the service is performed.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
This system monitors the tire pressure in your Ford vehicle. A light may illuminate if there's a problem with your tire pressure in one or more tires. It's a good idea to find a place to get air as soon as possible. Driving on underinflated tires can lead to a blowout.

Slip Indicator
This light is connected to your Ford vehicle's traction control system. It may flash on and off when you're on unstable road conditions. If the light stays on, then your system may be off or malfunctioning.

Charging System Warning Light
This light often indicates a serious battery drain that may cause your vehicle not to start. When the charging system warning light is lit, seek professional service for immediate inspection.

Brake System
The brake system light may come on when there's a problem in your ABS. You may lose ABS function when this light is on. It could also indicate low brake fluid or worn brake pads. You should get it checked out as soon as possible.

Open Door Warning Light
This indicator light comes on when any of your doors are open, including the trunk. It may also come on if one or more of your doors are not shut tightly.

Coolant Level Warning
As the oil pressure light, the coolant light is a warning light to be taken seriously. It means that your coolant level is under safe levels, or the temperature has increased to unsafe levels. Continuing to drive may result in your vehicle overheating, which could irreparably damage your engine.
