A Chrome appearance package is now available on the SE trim level, SYNC 3 technology has been added to all models and two new exterior paint colors, Electric Spice and Shadow Black, have joined the color palette. Outside of these minimal changes, the Escape continues to offer a variety of high-performance turbocharged engines, comfortable seating, several advanced technologies and excellent driving dynamics. To find out more about its new and existing features, look over our 2016 Ford Escape review below.

For the new model year, the 2016 Ford Escape in Mesquite continues to come with three different engine options depending on the trim level. A 2.5L four-cylinder, pumping out 168 horsepower and 170 lb.-ft. of torque, comes standard on the S model and is available on the SE. However, if you want to take advantage of more power, the SE and Titanium come standard with a turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder, generating 178 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. Optional on both models is also a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder with the ability to deliver 240 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. It produces an EPA-estimated 30 mpg highway on four-wheel-drive models and supports a 3,500-pound towing capacity.

All-new on the 2016 Ford Escape in Mesquite this year is SYNC 3 technology. Intuitive, responsive and faster than the outgoing MyFord Touch system, SYNC 3 keeps drivers connected to the outside world while on the go. From voice-activated navigation to hands-free calling, there are many ways SYNC 3 benefits drivers. Also new on the SUV for 2016 is the Chrome appearance package for SE models. Equipped with chrome door handles, liftgate appliqué, roof rails, side-mirror skullcaps and rear license plate appliqué, the package spices up the Escape's appearance. It even comes with chrome trim on the car's front fascia, 19-inch wheels and leather-accent seats.
