About Ford Reviews From Town East Ford
The bestselling pickup truck in America for the last 38 years has been the Ford F-150, and for 2016, the truck is prepared to continue its reign at the top. Following a complete redesign last year, the 2016 Ford F-150 arrives with a collection of slight upgrades, which includes a new compressed natural gas/propane package option, SYNC 3 technology, Pro-Trailer Backup Assist and new Special Edition Packages for XLT and Lariat models. Aside from these changes, the pickup comes with every component previously debuted on the 2015 model. To learn about the latest version of the truck and its features, take a look at our 2016 Ford F-150 review below.
Outside of the F-150's all-new available natural gas/propane gaseous fuel package on 5.0L V8-equipped models, the truck's powertrain options remain the same for 2016. A 3.5L V6 comes standard on the F-150; however, buyers can opt for a turbocharged 2.7L V6, 5.0L V8 or a turbocharged 3.5.L V6. The 2.7L V6 delivers 325 horsepower and 375 lb.-ft. of torque, while the 5.0L V8 outputs 385 horsepower and 387 lb.-ft. of torque. The turbo 3.5L V6 churns out an ample 365 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque, and can tow up to 12,000 pounds when properly equipped.
Buyers interested in enhancing the look of the 2016 Ford F-150 in Mesquite can take advantage of the new Special Edition Packages offered on Lariat and XLT. Featuring black running boards, 20-inch dark-painted aluminum wheels, smoked headlamps, special edition seats with Alcantara inserts, and unique red stitching on the seats and steering wheel, the packages enhance the pickup's appearance. In addition to the package options, the 2016 Ford F-150 in Mesquite now comes with Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which allows drivers to easily maneuver trailers. Ford's all-new intuitive SYNC 3 technology also replaces the MyFord Touch system, giving drivers the ability to stay connected while on the go.
