Which Trims & Features are Available?

With five trims available to select from, there is an Explorer that may be suitable for most SUV shoppers today. The 2019 trims include the Platinum and Sport at the higher end as well as the Limited, XLT and base options. The 2019 Explorer base trim gives you cruise control, speed-sensing power door locks, powered and heated side mirrors, a USB power port, a single-zone manual climate control system, automatic up-down power windows, folding rear seats with manual operation, a six-speaker standard audio system and cloth interior available in several beautiful colors.

By comparing the base trim with the top-of-the-line Platinum trim for 2019, you will see that the Platinum comes with a memory setting for the power-adjustable driver's pedals, leather interior with several color choices available, automatic folding rear seats, powered and heated front seats, an upgraded audio system with SiriusXM radio available, adaptive cruise control, LED fog lights and taillights, automatic LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, parking assistance paired with the rearview camera, ambient lighting, a moonroof, multiple controls mounted on the heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, a push-button ignition, remote keyless entry with an illumination feature and several other items that enhance your driving experience.

2019 Ford ExplorerThe 2019 Explorer has all of the features that you are looking for in an SUV loaded into a gorgeous body style, and its excellent design continues under the hood. All Explorer trims may have an automatic transmission, hill start assistance, hill descent control, terrain management control, an independent suspension system in the front and rear, trailer sway control, electric power steering and additional equipment.

Three powertrains are available in the 2019 Explorer, and even the basic engine design delivers undeniable power. This is a Ti-VCT V6, 3.5-liter gas engine, and its capabilities include 290 horsepower with 255 foot-pounds of torque. Another 2019 powertrain option is the V6, 2.3-liter EcoBoost gas engine, and it is designed to give you 280 horsepower and 310 foot-pounds torque. At the highest level, the Explorer may be powered by a V6, 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine that offers 365 horsepower with 350 foot-pounds torque.
