What's New For The 2019 Ford Ranger?
Ford Ranger, the compact pickup truck, is back after a seven-year hiatus. Since it was last seen in 2012, it has received a number of changes. There's a new EcoBoost engine under the hood as well as a new exterior style. If the truck looks a bit familiar, it's been reskinned to look like the T6 Raptor seen across Europe. Other changes include interior modifications as well as a few new technology features.

Ford Ranger Trims & Features Available in 2019
There are three trim levels to choose from, such as the XL, XLT, and Lariat. Additionally, you can choose the configuration of a SuperCab or a SuperCrew. With the SuperCrew, you're able to seat a total of five people inside the truck. The drive is available in a 4x2 or 4x4. The XL is the base model and provides you with cloth seats, halogen daytime running lights, and a single zone manual air conditioning system.
The XLT gets a few changes, including a power-locking tailgate and a larger productivity screen. The Lariat provides leather-trimmed seats, upgrades to LED daytime running lights, and offers a dual-zone auto air conditioning system. Additionally, there is ambient lighting and two productivity screens. Depending on the trim level, you can enjoy a wide array of convenient features, including a locking glove box, cruise control, and carpeted floor mats.
How Powerful is the Ford Ranger Powertrain?
The same engine is in all of the Ford Ranger trim levels. This is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine with auto start-stop technology. The SelectShift automatic transmission delivers great performance. You can also look forward to electronic power-assist steering and electronic-shift-on-the-fly (ESOF) with neutral towing capability (on the 4x4 only). In total, you will get 270 horsepower out of the engine, allowing you to enjoy a significant amount of pickup in comparison to other trucks in its class.
Ford Ranger Safety Features
A lot of safety features are packed into the Ford Ranger. You can enjoy a rearview camera to help you back into spaces. You will also have AdvanceTrac with roll stability control, airbags for the front, driver, and passenger positions, curve control, and four-wheel anti-lock brakes. When there are kids in the car, there is child-proof rear-door locks (SuperCrew) and a TETHER system for car seats. You won't have to worry about low air tires thanks to the tire pressure monitoring system. Plus, there's a perimeter anti-theft alarm. If you opt for different safety packages, you can also get cross traffic alerts, a lane-keeping system, and blind spot monitoring.
