What's New For the 2020 Ford Edge?

Dual-zone automatic climate control is now standard in every Edge model trim. This comfort-inducing technology does a great job of maintaining two separate temperatures. It's an especially lovely touch on long commutes or road trips. The Edge is also making one other significant change for 2020: it's discontinuing its CD player.

Which Trims & Features are Available in 2020?

The Edge is a five-passenger midsize crossover SUV that's available as four trim models: the SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST. The base SE is nicely equipped with tech features and safety gear. In the SEL, you'll find increasing convenience and greater access to options. The Titanium is the Edge's version of a luxury crossover. In the performance-based ST, you'll enjoy a quicker, nimbler ride.

The SE impresses with its standard high-tech lineup. This base model comes with all the infotainment features you crave, from Ford's Sync 3 infotainment interface to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. Dual USB ports keep devices charged. A Wi-Fi hotspot keeps you thoroughly connected throughout your travels. High-tech driver aids, including forward-collision warning with automatic braking, help you stay safe.

When you step up to the SEL level, you'll enjoy greater style and comfort, courtesy of a power-adjustable front passenger seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The SEL also offers much more in terms of options, letting you choose from such features as a hands-free liftgate, adaptive cruise control, navigation, and heated seats.

The Titanium comes standard with almost all of the SEL's options, and it adds exclusive luxury features like leather upholstery and ambient cabin lighting. The noise-reducing front windows give the Titanium a high-end vibe.

In the high-performance ST, you'll find a twin-turbocharged V6 engine and a sport-tuned suspension, both of which are designed to enhance your daily drive. Inside, the ST features leather seating with faux-suede trim and sports-themed trim.

A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency

2020 Ford EdgeThere are two 2020 Edge powertrains on offer. The SE, SEL, and Titanium trim models come standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that provides 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque for smooth daily driving. If you crave even greater power, choose the performance-based Edge ST trim. This crossover features a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 engine rated for 335 horses and 380 pound-feet of torque. Both engines feature an eight-speed automatic transmission that's quick to respond to your requests. The SE, SEL, and Titanium come standard with front-wheel drive, but an all-wheel-drive is always an option. The sporty ST comes standard with all-wheel drive.

Safety Features in the Forefront for 2020

2020 Ford EdgeNot only is this midsize crossover roomy, comfortable, and high-tech, but it also outdoes itself in the safety department. The 2020 Edge comes standard with an impressive array of driver aids to help you steer clear of danger. Standard systems like a forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist can act on your behalf, actively making an effort to thwart an accident. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert also come standard. These systems advise you on any vehicles that might be lurking outside your field of vision.
