2020 F-150 Trims & Features

Choose from six main F-150 trims: the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. There's also an off-roading model, the F-150 Raptor. It starts with the XLT equipment and adds adventure-ready gear like Fox shocks and a unique four-wheel-drive system.

Back on the base F-150 XL, you'll find sturdy basics, like the rearview camera and pre-wired trailer connections. The midgrade XLT is more of a modern truck, with standard power accessories and all the latest infotainment gear, including Ford Sync 3 system with its 8-inch central touchscreen.

The Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims offer increasing luxury. The Lariat delivers extra style with leather upholstery and extra get-up-and-go with keyless entry and ignition. Also, The crew-cabin-only King Ranch features Western styling flourishes, inside and out. It comes standard with LED headlights and foglights and a navigation system.

Inside the Platinum cabin, you'll find handsome wood and aluminum trim. Outside, its 20-inch wheels can't help but turn heads. The top-trim Limited comes standard with every imaginable on-road comfort and convenience, but it also features upgraded leather seating upholstery, 22-inch wheels, and unique styling flourishes.

2020 Ford F-150 Horsepower

2020 Ford F-150When you choose the F-150, you also get to choose from five engine options. The base F-150 XL is the only model that comes standard with a 3.3-liter V6 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain emits 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque for plentiful towing and hauling performance.

If you want both a little more heft and better fuel economy, you've got a couple of options. Ford turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine makes 325 horses and 400 pound-feet of torque, but it also earns an impressive 22 mpg combined. Then there's the 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine, which delivers impressive towing capabilities with 250 horses and 440 pound-feet of torque. On the highway, this engine earns up to 30 mpg - an impressive feat. Both of these engines come with the 10-speed automatic transmission for a performance that's both smooth and capable.

On the more powerful end of the spectrum, you'll find the 5.0-liter V8 and turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 engines. The V8 churns out 395 horses and 400 pound-feet of torque and delivers a solid, traditional towing and hauling performance. The turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 is even more capable. It has two different ratings. Most F-150s with this engine make 375 horses and 470 pound-feet of torque. On the Limited and Raptor trims, a high-output version of this engine produces 250 horses and 440 pound-feet of torque.

Which Safety Features are Available on the F-150?

2020 Ford F-150This year's F-150 delivers some exciting safety features. Every single trim level features pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking to help prevent a costly accident. It includes a blind-spot monitor that can take the length of a trailer into account, helping you switch lanes with ease. Co-Pilot360 also includes lane-keeping assist, so you can be doubly sure you're on the right track.
