What's New For the 2020 Ford Fusion?

The Ford Fusion has been a very popular sedan for years now. It is in its second generation, which made its debut back in 2013. This year, the Fusion eliminates the V6 Sport Trim to focus on the other two turbocharged engine options as well as the standard 2.5-liter option. Other than that, very few changes were made to this well-loved vehicle.

Which Features are Available for 2020?

You have your pick from four different trim levels when it comes to the 2020 Fusion. The entry-level model is known as the S. Moving up the line drivers will find the SE, SEL, and Titanium models. Which model is right for you depends on what exactly you are looking for in a sedan.

Standard on all models of the new 2020 Fusion are great features such as Bluetooth, a USB port, and a 4.2-inch screen. Moving up to the SE from the S will get you Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an additional USB port, and an 8-inch screen with navigation. The SEL trim level takes things to the next level with the addition of keyless entry and ignition, a premium 11-speaker sound system, and heated front seats. Going with the Titanium trim level will get you ambient interior lighting, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, and a 12-speaker sound system.

How does the Ford Fusion Engine Balance Power Needs and Fuel Economy?

First up is the standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that works in beautiful harmony with a six-speed automatic transmission. Fusions powered by this combo will give you 173-horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. The SE model will get a 1.5-liter engine that will produce 181-horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. Those who go with the Titanium trim level will get a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that will give them an exhilarating that will give you 240-horsepower in addition to 270 lb-ft of torque.

Affordable and Packed with Safety Features

2020 Ford FusionMany of the most popular advanced safety features out there today are standard or available on the 2020 Ford Fusion. Standard on each and every trim level is Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Mitigation, and Blind Spot Monitoring featuring Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Adaptive Cruise Control is an available option. While the vehicle is front-wheel-drive standard, there are all-wheel-drive versions available as well.
