What's New For the 2021 Ford Expedition?
For 2021, Ford makes the MAX an option on all trims of its full-size Expedition SUV for a longer wheelbase (and, by consequence, more cargo space). Also, the MAX is made a bit longer. These enhancements maintain the Ford Expedition's position as arguably the class leader.
What Are the Ford Expedition Trims & Features?
The 2021 Ford Expedition is split into four trim levels: XLT, Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum. With each trim, you get three rows of seats to hold up to eight people (with the option of a seven-seat configuration with a pair of captain's seats). The front includes eight-way power on the driver's seat, which faces a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Go for at least the Limited if you want leather seats and second-row heating. For ultimate luxury, go with either the King Ranch or the Platinum: the former for its Del Rio upholstery and the latter for its multi-contour front seats and quilted genuine leather upholstery.
The Expedition has a SYNC 3 multimedia system to integrate the vehicle's infotainment features. These include a six-speaker AM/FM stereo system, smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio, four USB ports, and an 8-inch touchscreen. Also included are proximity keyless entry, push-button engine start, a tri-zone automatic climate control system, auto-dimming ability, and a garage door opener on the rearview mirror. The Limited and higher trims gain wireless device charging, HD Radio, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

Raw Power and Stellar Performance
Under the hood of the 2021 Ford Expedition, the 400-horsepower 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 is tied to a 10-speed automatic transmission and is accompanied by a rear-wheel drive system. The result is a well-balanced vehicle, great on the highway, and can tow up to 9.300 lbs-fuel economy peaks at 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway with this configuration. Four-wheel drive is available to maximize performance on slippery, rocky, or bumpy terrain.
The 2021 Expedition Has a Long List of Safety Features
Driver assistance on the 2021 Ford Expedition is provided by the robust Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of technologies, which is accompanied by a rearview camera with rear parking sensors. Six airbags are present for restraint and cushioning if there's a crash, with a post-crash SOS emergency system for calling on assistance. If you go with the Limited model or higher, Ford adds front parking sensors.
