It's easy to get excited about any new vehicle on the market, but the Mustang Mach-E takes that excitement to a new level. There are many "firsts" on the Mach-E, for both the Mustang in general and the auto market. The Mach-E is the first new Mustang in 50 years, and it's a crossover SUV. It's also the first all-electric vehicle that Ford has created from the ground up.
The Mustang Mach-E offers other conveniences, including some of Ford's exclusive safety and connectivity features. With luxuries such as a panoramic glass sunroof and two different touchscreen displays, the Mach-E promises anything but an ordinary ride. The new model will begin arriving in late 2020, with select models scheduled to roll out in 2021. Order yours through Town East Ford today.
Each Mustang Mach-E trim has something different but appealing to offer. The Select is available with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Power is the same for both, but peak torque varies slightly. A well-connected trim awaits with the FordPass connectivity system that has navigation and smartphone pairing. You can view real-time feedback on the Select with a 10.2-inch touchscreen. Many safety features are standard. The Premium gets heated seats in front and a premium B&O sound system. Moving up, unique interior and exterior elements are a highlight of the First Edition. A power liftgate is added to the Route 1. The GT adds more safety technology, a more powerful battery pack, and optional features, including suede seats and ambient lighting. Special performance seats are optional as well.
The Mach-E's power output is trim-specific. The base trim's peak power output is 255 HP with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Rear-wheel drive has a peak torque of 306 LB-FT, while torque increases to 417 LB-FT with all-wheel drive. Starting with the second trim, you can get engines that produce 210 kW and 248 kW. The Route 1 trim has rear-wheel drive only, while the GT comes with all-wheel drive and a peak power output of 342 kW, or 459 HP. With all-wheel drive, it cranks out over 610 LB-FT in torque.
Charging the Mustang Mach-E is as simple as plugging it into your home socket. Doing so with a 240-volt supply will get you 22 miles per charging hour, and up to 32 miles per charging hour on the optional Ford Connected charging station.
A comprehensive safety package on the Mach-E provides reverse sensors, reverse braking assist, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, a backup camera, and automatic high beams. A panoramic backup camera is added to the higher-end trims.
